Ingredients

Main Ingredients:

  • 1 sheet puff pastry thawed if frozen
  • 2 cooked chicken breasts thinly sliced
  • 6 slices deli ham
  • 6 slices Swiss cheese
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 egg for egg wash
  • 1 tablespoon water

Instructions

Prepare the Filling:

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry into a rectangle about 12x9 inches.
  • Spread Dijon mustard evenly over the pastry, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.
  • Layer chicken slices evenly over the mustard.
  • Top with ham slices, then Swiss cheese.

Roll and Seal:

  • Carefully roll the pastry from one long side to the other, creating a tight log.
  • Pinch the edges and seam closed to seal the filling inside.
  • Transfer the stromboli to a parchment-lined baking sheet, seam side down.
  • Beat the egg with water and brush the pastry all over for a golden finish.
  • Use a sharp knife to cut small slits on top to allow steam to escape.

Bake:

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20–25 minutes until the pastry puffs and turns golden brown.

Cool and Serve:

  • Let the stromboli cool for 5 minutes before slicing into 1-inch pieces.
  • Serve warm, with optional sides like mustard or a simple salad.
