Tater Tot Sausage Breakfast Casserole – Helpful Tips

Cooking Tips & Techniques
Brown your sausage first—get it nicely crumbled and a little crispy for big flavor in every bite.
Whisk eggs with milk (or half-and-half) for a fluffy, custardy texture. Season well with salt, pepper, and a pinch of garlic or onion powder.
Layer evenly: sausage, cheese, then tater tots on top so they bake up golden and crisp.
Bake uncovered at 375°F for 40–45 minutes, or until the center is set and tots are crispy.
Let it rest 5–10 minutes before slicing to help it firm up for perfect squares.
Serving Suggestions
Serve hot with hot sauce, ketchup, or a dollop of sour cream on the side.
